Some of you said they were sorry that they could no longer use the 20 euro token in this marvelous astrological search engine, being interested in only one Aimed Solar Return or one Aimed Lunar Return and, therefore, the MyAstral Owner wanted to please them, even exaggerating…
With the current 20 euro subscription, valid for 15 days, instead of a single search, thousands can be done…
And I am not referring only to thousands of Natal Skies or to as many comparisons between two subjects, but also to graphs of the Solar Return or the Lunar Return with very high precision.
Let’s take an example and refer to the beautiful Kim Kardashian, born in Los Angeles on October 21, 1980, at 10 and 46 minutes (a Libra with Sagittarius Ascendant and with strong Aquarius values). As can be seen in the first graph, the stupendous American actress and model, if she stayed in Los Angeles for her next birthday, she would take Saturn in the Midheaven and Mars in the sixth house (but not only).
Instead, let’s say she wanted Jupiter in the 10th House and an excellent Venus in the 1st-2nd House cusp: any of you, and with any cheap or free software, would understand that you should look for the solution west of Greenland, in Nunavut, Canada, around in Kivitoo, at the longitude of 64°51’57” W and at a latitude close to 67°56’05” N (!!).
And here’s how you can use the super-cheap 20 euro subscription to find the exact spot for this exercise: proceeding by trial and error, enter the Solar Return time into MyAstral.org and then try multiple longitudes west of Kivitoo, or north or south, until you get a chart with Venus in the 1st/2nd House cusp. But be careful: all this with very high precision and using a real Home System (Placidus)!!
Obviously, if you have the Premium subscription, your search will be much easier because you just need to perform a few clicks on the enlargement of that geographic map and view the right geographical coordinates in real time… But, as already mentioned, this subscription option was designed for those who kept repeating that they wanted to get one and only one RSM.
Happy researching everyone.
P.S. I apologize because I forgot to add a sentence: “Before using this MyAstral subscription method, you need to turn on your brain”.
I thought it was obvious, but it wasn’t: someone who didn’t understand that Astrology is a very difficult subject and only for a few, said he was surprised that the calculation of the RS or RL, in this area, does not happen “automatically”. It seemed obvious to me: using a very high precision calculation engine and entering the data of an RS or a RL as if they were the birth data of a child, you will still be able to obtain what you need, making just one more step…
But someone thought it was implicit being able to have, with 20 euros, everything described even in the 100 and 1000 euro subscriptions…
What to say? Nothing.

Dear Master I was reading one of your articles about Gauquelin area :
Reading this article came to me a doubt:
So does it means that Saturn’s SR rules that say never to approach more than 12° from the MC, is also valid for Mars, Venus, etc.?
I am doing a Solar Revolution study for a client with Mars at 6 degrees away from the MC.In this specific Study the Sun staia at the 9° house…instead if I put Mars more than 12° far from MC the Sun get in the 8° house…. what is your opino about that situation? Because, in my notes, I only this rule for Saturn . Could you please clarify this doubt for me.
A warm greeting!
Andrea Estrella
Good morning Andrea Estrella. The summary that you have made of one of my writings is quite faithful and I confirm it for you.
Mars, in this context, is not present because I don’t consider it particularly negative in the Tenth House where, instead, I believe that Saturn can bring even irreversible damage to the subject who makes this choice.
And in fact I have dedicated many of my pages to Mars in the Tenth House several times and in different books.
Anyone who follows the localities where I have been going, for over fifty years, for my Aimed Solar Returns and for my Aimed Lunar Returns, localities that have always been public and known to all, knows well that I often leave Mars in the Tenth House both in the sky of Solar Return than in that of Lunar Return.
I go even further: I often believe that Mars in the Tenth House helps us to achieve great goals, goals for which it is necessary to fight a lot – and we would prefer not to fight – but then these efforts reward us with even very good results.
Obviously, in addition to everything I’m writing, I also distinguish whether the angular star is simply angular (for example 9 or 12 degrees away from the MC) or is also on the cusp (less than 2.5 degrees in circumference) because these are two different realities and I have discussed them many times also in my three blog books that I have published in the paper version and in the Kindle version.
Dear Master Ciro, I really apreciate your answer!!! Thank you very much!! You are always so gentle and patient with yours pupils!! Warm greetings!
Good evening Ciro, I’d like to talk to you about one of the AA 34 rules, that’s to say the rule n.14.
You explain in your books that when some planets like Saturn, Pluto or Uranus generate bad positions, choosing an ASR with the As in X could be very dangerous. Well, I’d like to know if something has changed regarding your experience about the rule n.14. That’s because this year my ASR has an AS in X and at the same time I’m standing a bad transit: Saturn opposite to the Moon. I can say I’m living a powerful upgrade this year because my daughter is upgrading to a better life (her upgrades are my upgrades) but at he same time I feel very upset from psychological point of view because I spent much much money to help her upgrading. In other words I’m living a happy experience in reality while I’m feeling very anxious inside.
So I’d like to ask you a question: would it be better to skip the AS in X during Saturn bad transits?
p.s..: I’m not a politician or a manager but I have to go on with different projects and purposes. Thank you very much for your answer.
Rose
Hello, Rose.
I advised you to post your question here because it can be useful to many other Active Astrology scholars.
I confirm the validity of rule 14 and I also confirm its interpretation: you could have a negative effect, putting an AS in X radix, if you were a politician or a manager, public or private, who could lose a top position.
In your case there was no such danger (I know enough about your life) and in fact this did not happen.
So, let’s analyze the facts. With your important contribution, you have allowed your daughter a big upgrade, not only on the home side. And all the tenth House meanings are expressed because your daughter’s upgrades are also your upgrades as a more serene mother.
So you ask me: why am I so worried and am I living the aspect of this reality so badly?
Rose, you are experiencing problems of high cash outflows and heartache. Strong money outflows have a first and last name: Mars in the eighth house of the Aimed Solar Return. Anxieties also have a name and a surname: Neptune in the fourth House, anxieties generated by a house…
All OK, all textbook (that of Ciro Discepolo).
Hugs.
Ok Ciro! I couldn’t guess that Mars in the VIII and Neptune in the IV combined would’ve been so dangerous, anyway I’ll survive, this year is a bomb!
Thank you once again for you kind answer, Ciro.
Hi,
I have a question:is the bistable relay effect of Jupiter a prerogative of solar returns or it works in the natal chart too?
Best regards.
Hi, Federico, as you can read in many of my books and in many examples contained in them, the bistable effect concerns the Sun, the Ascendant and Jupiter both in the skies of Solar and Lunar Returns and in the natal skies and and in relation to transits.
Ok thanks for the answer i will read again about this fact.best regards.
Hello Ciro,
I would like to ask you 2 questions about RS/RL in Russia.
1) Do you change Euros to Russian Rubles in the Instambul Airport usually?
2) How do you deal with the language in cities which are not Moscow or San Petersburg? Do you know the basics of russian? People told me english is not well spoken apart from the biggest cities.
Best regards.
Hi Andrea.
At Istanbul airport you can easily change euros into rubles. Almost everyone speaks English in Russia, if we refer to hotels and restaurants which are what a tourist needs. Citizens who don’t speak it use their cell phones to translate in real time.
Thanks very much. I ask because soon or later i’m going to Russia for RS or RL. Another question: do you organize travel for Russia by yourself or have you used an agency? As a matter of fact I saw on your Facebook you cited “Incoming Russia” which I saw it’s a travel agancy.
In the last 30-40 years I have always organized them, but, as you may know, recently we cannot use our credit cards to pay for flights within Russia and neither for hotels or transfers between the various airports and so I ask everyone for help ‘excellent Mrs. Olga from Incoming Russia who plans everything perfectly.
Great! thank you very much Ciro
Hi Ciro,
I would like to ask you if you could suggest me the name of an astrologist specialized in Active Astrology (possibly an Italian person) to whom I may address to define the locality of my 2023 ASR.
I approached Astrology, and in particular Active Astrology, only recently. I still have little knowledge of the subject, and I don’t have the possibility, before my next birthday, to deepen it enough so to be able to choose the ASR locality on my own; therefore I would like to rely on an expert.
In 2023 I will have Saturn in the 6th house, and Mars and the Ascendant in the 12th house (I was born in Giulianova, Italy, on the 13th of August, 1990, 9.30 a.m.), and I would like to avoid these placements.
Thank you in advance,
Maria Cristina
Gladly, Maria Cristina. Chiara Barbaro, the Owner of MyAstral.org, is certainly very good, but I don’t know if she will be able to follow you, being very busy with this project.
Otherwise you can contact the students/colleagues with whom I wrote my latest book, “Astrologi Contemporanei A Confronto”, whose contact details you can extrapolate on social networks, among those of my friends.
Dear Ciro, trust this quick note finds you well. I am writing you in order to ask your opinion about my upcoming RSM in Canada. In particular I would need your help to fine tune the final destination among three possible alternatives: Vancouver, Valemount and McBride. What do you reckon? Are those options equivalent or it is worthwhile to travel north from Vancouver to McBride/Valemount?
Thanks in advance
Andrea C born in Piacenza (Italy) on 17/7/71 at 10.50 am
Dear Andrea,
it is certainly preferable that you go to Valemount or McBride because, in addition to getting Venus close to the MC, you also avoid the cusp of Neptune and therefore, with a short extra journey, you can get your next Aimed Solar Return to be worth double!
Ciro, thanks a lot for your prompt reply which is, as usual. very helpful. I am really looking forward to this ASR as it is, by far, the best one I’ve ever managed to arrange.
Dear Maestro,
I would like to ask you something about the sun libido in the houses. Do you have any observations about a sun on the cusp of two houses ? Do you think this is good, bad or neutral ?
Thank you for your kind attention and for sharing your knowledge,
Dear Margherita,
the Sun in Houses, without a shadow of a doubt, is the fundamental direction of a person’s libido: for example, for a newborn girl who has the Sun in the seventh House, we can immediately tell that she, when she grows up, will either be a lawyer or a magistrate or a police officer or a female warrior. The set of other positions of the Natal Chart and also the story of her parents, will be able to make us better understand in which direction it will go.
In my book “The New Guide To Astrology” I have devoted much space to this topic.
When the Sun is on the cusp between two Houses, I would not define this as positive or negative, absolutely, but I would observe that on the one hand this is positive because differentiating one’s energies in several directions can make one’s life easier and negative because the lack of a very clear direction of destiny can be an obstacle to one’s growth.
Thank you vert much for your answer.
Dear Ciro, trust everything is well with you. First things first, I’ve only recently subscribed to myastral and I was extremely impressed by the “Location Search” functionality which makes the search of a destination extremely easy. Well done. I am also writing you because my May’s RLM is approaching and I was wondering if you could recommend a relocation given the accumulation of planets in the XII house I would get if I remain in Piacenza. I’ve never taken into consideration a RLM but the 2022 RSM in St.John’s was sub-optimal (nasty VII house and ASC in II) and this year is turning out to be particularly heavy from a personal and financial perspective so I might need a good RLM to mitigate its effect.
Andrea born in Piacenza on 17/7/71 at 10.50 am
Hi Andrea,
yes, if you want to respect the 34 rules and without getting yourself a heavy twelfth House of LR, you could go to Jan Mayen, Norway, and get this result, but I invite you to study the many books I have published on Lunar Returns, books in Italian and books in English, and from these books you will know that when, for whatever reason, you start with a bad Solar Return, there is no way to correct it with Lunar Returns.
For decades, my wife Daniela and I have been leaving thirteen times a year for the Lunar Returns and once a year for the Solar Returns, but we do this above all so that I have the opportunity to study, in the field and not in theory, what are ALR’s. In my experience, those who do not have this research need can start for a good ASR every year and, perhaps, add one or two ALR’s to it during the year, in the most important moments.
Best wishes.
Dear Ciro, I hope all is well. First things first I want to congratulate you on the myastral development and in particular the “Location Search” functionality, it is very useful. I am also writing you about my upcoming May’s Lunar revolution which features a stellium in the XII house. What do you reckon should I relocate for my first ALR?
Andrea C born in Piacenza on 17/7/71 at 10.50am
Dear Ciro, I was born in Fanling, China on 07/15/1968 at 12:45am which I think was Daylight Savings Time. I am interested in getting married and winning a lawsuit in the upcoming year. If I spend my 2023 ASR in Hillsborough California, would that be a good location or should I try a place like Omaha, Nebraska?
Hi Samantha. The two locations you propose would offer you a rather mediocre Aimed Solar Return when, instead, you could get, nearby, an ASR with the double cusp of Jupiter on the DS and Venus on the MC: Seattle, Washington.
I know from your books that you said the 11th house is associated with bereavement, but I thought that it would only happen if there were also the Sun, Mars, or Ascendant in the 1st, 6th, and/or 12th houses or if the Sun was cohabitated with Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and/or Pluto in the 11th house. Since I only had the Sun and Mercury in the 11th house and Mars in the 9th house, and the Ascendant in the 5th house, wouldn’t that mean I shouldn’t have experienced a bereavement of someone close? My birth date is 07-15-1968 in Fanling, China at 00:45am and spent the 2022 ASR in Fairbanks, Alaska. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Well, Samantha, that was your own free guess. I wrote my 34 rules in clear text and not in the language of lawyers or philosophers: “Transits and Solar Returns”, American Federation of Astrologers. And also study the thousands of examples I’ve published in dozens of books on this topic. Moreover, I remind you once again: all of us, moving to our birthday, cannot avoid the death of another person. If this wonderful tool that we have at our disposal worked as you think, then it would be enough to have only one person leave for each family…
Dear Ciro, I read in one of your books that it is hard for someone to die. You said that it would require all the SRs of the family members to indicate such an event for it to occur. You used your mother in law as an example I think in which you stated that you thought she would die because she was so ill and she had a negative SR. But in fact she did not die because her grandchildren did not have SRs that would indicate a death in the family. Am I misreading what you wrote? Also, if the 11th house is so strongly associated with bereavement, isn’t that a whole lot worse than the 1st, 6th, and 12th houses since death is final while suffering is just temporary?
Yes, Samantha, you read that right. When a person dies there must be a trace of this in the ASR of all his family members, but I don’t believe at all that death is more tragic than the First, Sixth and Twelfth Houses: death, in the vast majority of cases, is a fact natural and occurs when a “flame of energy” runs out of strength. Death is almost always overrated.
Hi Ciro,,
I’ve a kind request for you:
what do you think about the position of Pluto in the ASR chart of this woman?
Born 01/06/1978, h. 18:30 in Alberobello.
She spent her ASR 2022 in London (UK).
She is a friend of mine and showed me this solution she studied for her 2022-2023 ASR.
I’m a bit perplexed about the idea of having that Pluto on the DS just for keeping Jupiter at the MC.
What do you think about that Pluto?
Is it risky to put Pluto on DS in an ASR?
Or, instead, this position can give some boost to love and work situation at the same time?
Thanks
best regards
😊
Hi Michele.
Between last year and today I have seen some similar geometries that have been dismissed by colleagues.
As you know, I always tread lightly when there may be problems for people’s health and I would be hesitant, like you, to put a Pluto who works in both the sixth and seventh Houses.
I must say that, if we are talking about a young – and I hope not sick – person like this one, the risk is low and Pluto usually expresses itself more in the direction of work than health, when there is a very strong and good tenth House, as in this case.
Instead, in this case, it seems to me that there could be more problems relative to the Love sector, since one could add up the negative and contemporary effects of Pluto in VII, Moon in 12^, Saturn in 8^ (which can mean interruption or reduction of sexual activity) and perhaps also of the AS in 8^: the AS is right at the extreme limit of 2.5 degrees to be on the cusp. And, as you know, an AS in the eighth House can also mean the end of a relationship.
Let’s hope so…
Dear Ciro. I have been reading the meaning of pluto in the 1st house. I have your book in the Spanish version ” Transitos y retornos solares” and it says that it acts by empowering the will of the subject and, in some cases, leads him to impose himself on others with a certain arrogance… But in the English version “Solar returns” also talks about repetitive obsessions and different kinds of anxiety. I would like to know if the obsessions and anxiety are something that the translator forgot to put in the Spanish version and this position should be understood above all as an increase in the will of the subject. Or if it would be a position to avoid for a person with anxiety as the english version implies.
Hi Caroline. As you know, my books on this subject are many and also in different editions. Complete your question better, rewriting it, and reporting, if possible, the exact title of the work and the edition and then comparing the two sentences.
There is an English version (I can not see the edition) uploaded to the internet by Catalina Georgina Moraru that can be downloaded for free with the title: “SOLAR RETURNS CIRO DISCEPOLO” where says about pluto in the first house:
-Megalomania, hyperbolic actions, exaggerations of all kinds. Extreme arrogance-if the rest of the astrological situation confirms so. Repetitive obsessions and different kinds of anxiety. Strong erotic and destructive impulses.
And there is a spanish version: Tránsitos y Retornos Solares (Spanish Edition) (p. 491). Ediciones Ricerca 90. Edición de Kindle, where says about pluto in the first:
En la Primera Casa Plutón actúa potenciando la voluntad del sujeto y, en algunos casos, lo lleva a imponerse sobre los demás, incluso de una manera algo prepotente. Arrogancia, agresividad y violencia podrían ser los límites extremos de esta posición si el conjunto del tema natal y del Retorno Solar lo justifican. Tendencias inflacionistas e hipertróficas. Exageraciones de todo tipo. Grandiosidad y manías de fantasías de potencia.
————————-
As the Spanish version does not talk about Repetitive obsessions and different kinds of anxiety, I would like to know if this position should be avoided in a SR of a person with anxiety or if it will be expressed more by empowering the person’s will.
Thank you very much Ciro. Sorry for my bad English
No problem, Carolina.
The predominant trait of a Pluto in the First House is arrogance or the will to impose one’s person, but also eroticism, intentions for revenge… In a previous post you asked me if this could be dangerous for a person who suffers from depression: far from it! Pluto in the 1st House is the opposite of depression! It can only hurt people who are too arrogant. For all others it may be fine.
Dear Ciro,
I have a kind request for you.
I’m concerned about my upcoming Solar Return here in Campobasso, where I was born on 12th September 1954 at 3:35-4:00 pm.
Mars in the 12th house, together with Saturn in the 4th house and the Sun in the 11th make up a very worrying picture.
As a beginner, I’ve come up with the idea of spending my ASR in New York which would be quite ‘easy’ to reach (even though I’m not sure I’ll be able to travel at that time).
I’d love to have your opinion.
Kindest regards.
Good morning Giovanni.
To proceed with a correct analysis, we cannot start from a time that is part of a time interval, but we must indicate an exact one. Here I assumed 15.50. If this were the case, New York does not seem like a good choice because there we would place Saturn on the 7th/8th House cusp and the damage would not be slight. I advise you to consider the area around FORT CHIPEWYAN, ALBERTA (CANADA) where you would place a magnificent Venus in the first/second House, removing Saturn from the cusp of the eighth: the extra money you spend on the trip, you will save by removing Saturn from the eighth House . There the AS, even if for a short while, would not be in the sixth House. Happy Birthday.
Very kind of you.
Thank you so much.
