The Kindle Translate edition of “TRAVELING WITH THE STARS” is now available in six languages: English, Italian, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, and German.
This book, too, was a difficult journey, like “ACTIVE ASTROLOGY.”
For many years, it was requested by many readers, almost “ordered”…
Then, finally, I began to write with great commitment: not all the stories of my travels, but the accounts of the most significant, exciting or difficult, singular or incredible, funny or nightmarish ones…
I asked my late friend Pietro Gargano, also a writer and journalist, to edit the Italian edition of the text, which was published in 2021, in a 15×21 cm format, on Amazon, and contained 148 pages.
But dear Pietro was already unwell, and some files had been lost, and I managed to find others, to prepare the English edition of the book, only in an incorrect version.
In short, I reworked it, mainly to add many more stories involving Daniela or bloggers who wrote to me about their extraordinary adventures, like the one I’m about to tell you about.
Then I gave everything to my friend Micol Martuscelli, an excellent translator into English (from Italian), and so, again in 2021, months later, the English edition (“TRAVELLING THROUGH THE STARS”) was published, increasing from the 148 pages of the first edition to the current one, a whopping 278.
But the problems weren’t over, and when, yesterday, I decided to publish the text in the other languages I mentioned, I realized that the English Kindle edition, absolutely necessary for the project, didn’t exist.
In short: I spent half a day looking for the Word file I sent to Amazon’s KDP at the time to get the Kindle, but it got lost along the way, and in these five years no one has told me that the digital version of the volume didn’t exist.
Only late at night did I manage to find the file I was looking for among the old, very old hard drives from the past, and so, finally, the baby was born this morning!
So here’s a little gem from the same story: the story of Diocletian, who, astride an old single-seater plane, managed to reach a very difficult destination in Alaska!!
From an old blog of mine:
Diocletian’s fantastic journey to Alaska
At the same time that the beautiful E. Royal (a little girl I’ve been following astrologically for a few years) was celebrating her birthday in Alaska, a few hundred kilometers away, a young Italian was experiencing this exciting adventure.
The day before my birthday, I arrived in Aniak (about 300 miles from Red Devil) with the intention of taking another plane to my final destination.
However, the river in the area overflowed, completely flooding the Red Devil airport, which had to be closed. From Aniak, there was no other way to reach the site of my solar return, since there are no roads in that part of Alaska: the river—in that stretch—is inaccessible and it would have taken at least ten days on foot.
What to do? I felt I absolutely had to reach my destination, which was particularly important for my astrological year.
So, I almost beat up a gentleman in Aniak, forcing him to repair, during the night, a single-seater plane he hadn’t used for a long time. He busied himself with bolts, nails, and hammers for several hours and finally fixed (!) the plane. Then he set up a second station behind the plane (a piece of equipment I had only seen in photos from World War II). World Cup…) and on the night of… we left.
At the appointed time, we reached our destination, flying over the Red Devil (Editor’s Note). I had the most beautiful plane ride of my life! A unique experience, amidst the ice, the marvelous nature, the animals in the woods, the rising sun, always so big and bright. I need to receive some photos of the flight by email (with the pilot smoking and singing): I’ll send you some.
I returned to Italy with a heart full of joy: plane trips are fantastic…”
Diocleziano
My blog comment that day:
This magnificent adventure, which I would have loved to experience firsthand, is perhaps one of the best answers to many of those who denigrate us and, in the absence of valid technical arguments, try to portray a birthday trip as something dark, terrible, governed by terror. The blog of the last two days, however, has managed to describe what happens 99% of the time: joy, the awareness of having done something good for yourself and your family, a fantastic adventure, the sight of extraordinary places and many, many more strong emotions!
