Andrea Sempio’s Forbidden Dreams
Or “Of Removed Testicles, Stolen Bananas, and Various Traveling offal…”
All hell is breaking loose. And rightly so. And the newspapers specializing in this kind of gossip are also informing us of extremely spicy details about this soap opera. Some are even promising links to private videos of the suspect with his lawyer.
Many are clamoring for censorship. Of Sempio, of course.
I agree with and join the people of the ideal children of Prefect Gonnella (“La voce della Luna,” Federico Fellini), and I too am against the people of the gnoccata.
And yes, be patient! There’s a limit to everything!
Here in Milan, the Mayor (or whoever) rightly had the bull’s testicles removed in the Galleria after its restoration, to protect public decency and the innocence of boys and girls, as well as the many nuns who come to admire the Duomo.
They also did well in Paris to steal, again, the “Cattelan banana,” another obscenity (but there it’s endemic and easy, by typing the password “Louvre”).
Now we should just trim the art and literature of the last two millennia or so, at least, and then we’ll be fine.
I would definitely start by completely obscuring, using Photoshop or ChatGPT, the House of the Vettii in Pompeii, and then move on to all pictorial and sculptural art from Egyptian times to the present day, including the Riace Bronzes, the Sistine Chapels, and other loopholes for potential dirty people.
Don’t talk to me about art or similar excuses: we need to make a single, huge bonfire of the obscenities written by Boccaccio and books like the Decameron and similar ones.
Here’s a short list of authors and “works” to burn immediately:
- Geoffrey Chaucer with the Canterbury Tales
- François Rabelais with Gargantua and Pantagruel
- Pietro Aretino and his obscene works
- Giacomo Casanova and his perverse memoirs
- Donatien Alphonse François de Sade (this one needs to be deleted immediately!)
- Gustave Flaubert and his Madame Bovary
- Charles Baudelaire, at least for “The Flowers of Evil”
- D. H. Lawrence for “Lady Chatterley’s Lover”
- Vladimir Nabokov with “Lolita”
- Pier Paolo Pasolini (here you need to order the firefighters in Fahrenheit 451 to burn everything)
- Federico Fellini with “City of Women” (Marcello Mastroianni who, more perversely than Andrea Sempio, whips the women)
- Luis Buñuel with “Belle de Jour”
- Stanley Kubrick with “Eyes Wide Shut”
But let’s not forget, absolutely, Renzo Arbore’s buxom working-class women in “Indietro tutta!” or the busty women of 1950s Italian cinema.
Obviously, the first text to immediately eradicate, even from the minds of those who have read it, is “The Interpretation of Dreams” by Sigmund Freud, the first fornicator of all, capable of imagining men and women having sex “in the strangest ways.”
As I was saying, there’s a limit to everything, and, personally, in some cases, I wouldn’t even be opposed to chemical castration of dream criminals!
I sogni proibiti di Andrea Sempio
Ovvero “Di testicoli rimossi, banane rubate e frattaglie varie viaggianti…”
Sta venendo fuori il finimondo. Giustamente.
A Sempio, ovviamente.

Dear Master
I world like an advise on the solar return of a friend born 25.08.1954 at 20.22 in Polverigi Ancona. She just inherited some properties that she would like to’ sell and of course she would like to protect the health. I have identified Ha Noi (Vietnam). How do you judge my choice?
As an alternative I found Buckholds in Texas but Uranus in the first house and near to the ascendant is impossible to accept.
Please let me know how do you judge Ha Noi.
Best regard and thanks for your help.
Dear Vipsania,
I’d say Hanoi is pretty good. The other option, as you’d guessed, given Uranus’s presence in the first House and its proximity to the Ascendant, doesn’t appeal to me.
Dear Ciro, I am studying my mothers SR, on 9 July she will turn 86 years old, she has health problem dice she was young , affected and operated on around 35?on the esophagus for dysphagia, now she is affected by atrial fibrillation, pudendal nerve neuralgia, twice has had left hip prosthesis and 2 years ago again surgical intervention to esophagus for dysphagia. In my opinion every is due to Saturn in her natal chart close to the desc. She married twice and was widowed twice. Well, the SR for Rimini get Venus in the 12 house, I don’t like, among other things the asc. fall in the X house and she had Saturn transit square to his Natal Sun. I study the location and I found Chatham Island, what do you think? My mother, Anna, born in Turin 9 Luglio 1940, hour 16.00 , from the registry certificate. Thanks for your precious adivice…
Dear Angelo,
Theoretically, Chatham could be a good choice, but let’s consider a few important points:
1) This island is one of the most remote points on Earth and requires a huge financial and energy investment.
2) Although your mother would be protected by Venus in the sixth House there, the presence of Mars, Uranus, and the Ascendant in the fourth House, plus Neptune in the first, suggests a very likely surgery or hospitalization.
3) At this point, I invite you to consider Egypt, with Jupiter on the tenth/eleventh House cusp, Venus on the eleventh/twelfth House cusp, and the Mars-Uranus conjunction in the ninth House. As you know, I usually avoid Venus in the twelfth House because this position protects health, but it also indicates potential problems with loved ones (husband, sons, sisters, etc.). So choosing Egypt could affect you too, but if you protect yourself with your ASR, looking at things from your mother’s point of view and reasoning a little selfishly for her (I think that’s right), then, probably, this ASR is more protective and feasible than the other choice.
Dear Ciro, thanks very much for your valuable advice
Dear Master,
I was born on February 21, 1959 in Sorgues France at 07:40
For my next solar return in 2027, it’s very complicated to find a location that will protect my health while also avoiding the 3rd house, which is very negatively affected by the transit of Uranus.
Myastral offers:
Espirito Santo Bresil
or St David Bermudes
or Bacaro point Nova Scottia Canada.
Can you help me?
Thank you very much.
Dear Dominique Juliette, the choice of Espirito Santo, Brazil, is perfect because you provide double protection for your health with the cusps of Venus and Jupiter, and you also don’t violate any of the 34 rules, also placing the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in the ninth House, where it belongs (either there or in the third House).
Best wishes.
P.S. Always be wary of choices like placing Saturn in the tenth House, as you would in St. David’s and Baccaro, because it’s a very burdensome position that can cause those who choose it to take many steps backward in their lives.
Thank you, dear Master, for all the help you have given me for the past 17 years.Your advice has allowed me to stay alive.
Kind regards.
Dear Dominique Juliette,
You have yourself to thank for having the wisdom to follow the rules of Active Astrology.
Many know these rules but don’t put them into practice.
Warmest wishes.
Dear Ciro,
I just returned from my trip to Kolkata. I was worried for traveling with Saturn and Mars in 9th, but it was better than I expected. I flew with Emirates with a stopover in Dubai. Flight was delayed due to operational reasons and I missed the stopover. They put me on the next plane and I left 24 hours later. But they paid me for the hotel night, meals and transportation. The rest of the trip was pretty normal.
In my last solar revolution I risked putting Mars in the first house because in one of your books you say that having a weakened Mars in cancer, you consider it not bad. And I have to say I didn’t have any small accidents, falls…
From past experiences, I am terrified of putting Saturn in the 1th or 6th. Do you think that having Mars in Cancer makes Mars less harmful in any house? or does this only happen in the first one? Because it really scares me much more Saturn.
Dear Carolina,
Sometimes urban legends arise, and we don’t even know how they were possible…
In one of my first books on Solar Returns, I wrote that a client of mine was very happy with Mars in the first House, as he had character issues that prevented him from making quick, clear decisions. He said that year had been good for that, but he broke his leg.
I reported what this man said, but I never wrote that Mars could be placed in the first, sixth, or twelfth House. In fact, to be more drastic, in subsequent books I framed this message with the greatest possible emphasis.
I repeat once again: it is not possible to place Mars in the first, sixth, or twelfth House in an ASR or an ALR.
Saturn is a hundred times less dangerous, but I still wouldn’t place it in the three Houses in question.
Hi Ciro,
In a solar return, is it better to have Saturn in the 7th or 8th?
Thanks
Sarah,
It’s difficult to answer this question without knowing the subject’s current situation. If the person is awaiting a life-changing verdict, even negatively, then it’s probably best to place Saturn in the eighth House. If, however, the person has a worrying debt situation, then it’s best to place it in the seventh House.
Dear Ciro,
It is not my intention at all to contradict you.
This left me a bit confused, as I may have misunderstood the passage, or perhaps there could be an issue with the translation.
I would like to share with you the exact text as it appears in the Spanish version “ Transitos y retornos solares (2009) so you can see it.
Thank you very much for your time and for your invaluable work.
Dear Carolina,
That’s exactly what I was saying yesterday in response to your post: for some people with a weak Mars at birth, having Mars fall in the first House in the Solar Return chart can mean a “sprint” year. But as you just wrote again in today’s post, “this doesn’t at all rule out the risk of an accident” or similar events. And we know that following an accident, such as a car accident, we can be injured or seriously injured. Or even worse.
So, do we want to read only what reassures us?
Hi Dr Discepolo
I hope you are well.
For an oncological patient in stable recovery — DOB 9 July 1970 at 8:30 AM in Cecina (LI) Italy — who still has limited ability to travel, I could identify these European destinations for the 2026 ASR: Lisbon, Portugal or Brest, France.
I also identified Windhoek, Namibia where both Jupiter and Venus are in the 6th house protecting her health (although the mars/uranus conjunction in the 4th house is maybe not the most advisable in her circumstances);
but she couldn’t travel that far anyway.
So compared with remaining in Castiglioncello (LI), Italy which is her home town, I’d still suggest Lisbon or Brest.
Would you agree, or do you see any better option that I may have overlooked?
Thank you,
All the best,
Valentina
Dear Valentina,
When you conduct research within the framework of Active Astrology, you can include an “IF” such as “only search nearby places,” but when you do this, you’re no longer choosing according to the rules of Active Astrology. Alternatively, you can turn to better doctors or prayer.
However, regardless of this, without considering distant travel, I would also try to place Venus and Jupiter in the sixth House, but removing the close Mars-Uranus conjunction from the fourth House. If it were my ASR, I would choose Port Said, Egypt, with Jupiter and Venus in the sixth House and (Venus, which is also the cusp), and with Mars and Uranus in the third House. Neptune in the first House is not dangerous on its own, and can signify more “ghosts” than concrete things. I would avoid Pluto in the twelfth House, but very far from the Ascendant, but it’s impossible, and this solution seems more than a good one to me.
CommeGood evening, Maestro,
I was born in Modena on August 28, 1977, at 12:57 a.m., but to this day I have not yet been able to rectify my birth time with complete precision.
I would like to describe how my year has been unfolding in order to receive your opinion and reassurance regarding its correspondence with the indications of the Solar Return chart. At 5:50 p.m. on August 27, 2025, I was in Heraklion, shortly before boarding my flight back to Italy. I am aware that this was not the ideal Solar Return location, but since I was recovering from a delicate eye surgery, it was the best I could manage under the circumstances.
The main events that have taken place so far during this year are as follows:
1) Shortly after my birthday, my eye began to deteriorate progressively and, despite the treatments, I was forced to undergo a second surgery on March 31, 2026. The recovery period was very difficult and troublesome, although today everything appears to be progressing well. I should add that I chose to have the operation performed outside my region, at a highly specialized center for retinal disorders, despite the presence of Mars in the Ninth House.
2) My grandmother passed away and left me an inheritance which, while not a large one, has nevertheless been of considerable help to my finances.
3) At the same time, I was unexpectedly drawn into a legal dispute and was notified of tax arrears dating back several years, which I am now required to settle.
4) I brought to an end a long-standing personal relationship that had run its course. Due to my illness, my social activities were significantly reduced. Some friendships faded away, but I have also formed new connections.
5) I have encountered various issues with my car, as well as with passwords and electronic devices in general.
6) Today, I received negative news concerning my work. I sincerely hope that it will not lead to the termination of our collaboration, but I must admit that I have serious concerns about this possibility.
Personally, the aspect that leaves me most perplexed is the problem with my eyes.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Grazie mille!
Elisa
Good morning, Elisa,
yes, I remember your situation.
I think the ASR that’s ending won’t be able to help you further correct your birth time because there were no stars on the cusp.
As you yourself mentioned, your choice of Greece was motivated by the fact that you were emerging from a highly stressful situation and didn’t feel like taking on a more demanding trip.
The things you’ve described perfectly match the current ASR, starting with the “distant” commitment (your new surgery) and also including the various meanings of the eighth House, which was important: inheritance money, but also money “lost” through legal action, the end of some relationship…
So, I’d say everything is absolutely consistent.
Your health hasn’t improved, but—objectively speaking—you hadn’t put any protections in place.
You certainly shouldn’t underestimate eye problems in the future, because the very strong Mars, close to the Ascendant and therefore also in the twelfth House, is co-significant with Pisces and therefore related to vision.
I’m almost certain I’ve recommended a new ASR to protect your health, and I urge you to always put your health first.
Every year.
Best wishes.
Good morning Dear Ciro,
a quick question. You have beautifully explained the rule about planets falling between two houses, with the 2.5 degrees rule. But what about a planet falling in a cusp between two signs, in a natal chart? e.g. Moon at 0° 20′ in Leo should be considered in Leo in Cancer or in both sings?
Thank you,
Antonio
Good morning, Antonio.
Your question touches on a very important aspect of astrology that, in my experience, seems strange or mysterious, but whose workings I have no doubt whatsoever about, after studying tens of thousands of charts throughout my life.
The House cusps are an extraordinary reality in astrology, and if I hadn’t been able to discover the arithmetic surrounding them, I wouldn’t be able to understand a single birth chart or make a single prediction about any person.
However, even if we don’t know why, it is a certain fact that sign cusps don’t exist.
In other words, if William or Elena are born with the sun at 29°59′ in Sagittarius, they are 100% Sagittarians, without any influence from the sign of Capricorn.
I myself am living proof of this.
The first year I met Lisa Morpurgo in person and we started hanging out a lot, she said something like, “Since you have Mars in Libra…”
And I said, “Lisa, what are you talking about? My Mars is at 29°57′ in Virgo, and anyone who knows me well could swear that my Mars is 100% in Virgo and not even 1% in Libra!”
And so it is.
Hi Ciro Hope you are well! I have a question for you. This year I find a Solar return near Boston in Massachusetts. I think Is very good, and my question Is this: me, my sister and my Brother are going to sell a House, in the Solar return there Is a good X and II house, but Saturn in the VII . Can be this an obstacle to the contract at the end ? My detail 13/07/1975 10,04 Napoli Thanks a lot Ciro like Always a big hug,
Pasquale
Dear Pasquale,
Yes, indeed, this danger exists, but it could simply be a delay in the agreement or having to give something up when it’s time to sign.
Let’s think positively and also consider that Venus in the eleventh House will work in the exact opposite direction to Saturn in the seventh, and that the excellent stars in the tenth House will do the same.
At this point, considering the golden rules that tell us that very important events in our lives can occur around our birthdays, I would take a second targeted trip on July 18th, when, if you were to be at home, a rather heavy ALR would be triggered. If you plan a sufficiently effective one, it could add to the favorable birthday sky and help you resolve any problems.
A warm hug to you too.
