If I were Andrea Sempio, I would like to be arrested immediately.
This would put an end to the media lynching, especially by almost all of the national press, which is dormant and acquiescent in the face of the repeated, weekly barrage of announcements about the suspect, without even a shred of evidence to support them.
If Andrea Sempio were arrested, he would have to go before a judge immediately, and at the same time, it wouldn’t be possible to say that a certain newspaper wrote that “a super-witness framed Chiara Poggi’s murderer.” Evidence would have to be presented, and so far, there isn’t a single one against him.
If the evidentiary hearing scheduled for December 18th is not postponed, it will be entirely favorable to the young man from Vigevano.
