Fragments of Woke Thought and Garlasco 3, by Ciro Discepolo.

It’s legitimate, I’d almost say physiological, that dozens and dozens of criticisms converge on a case like this, some of them even justified, but mixed with the core elements of woke thought, in one of its degenerations, which ends up intertwined with the credo of the most prominent flat-earthers.

And, in my opinion, the first thing we should consider is that all past trials, small and large, if revisited under the magnifying glass of programs like “The Monday Trial,” will present critical issues, especially if skilled hosts orchestrate the whole thing along with a specific part of that story, a part that has nothing but to gain from sowing doubt among millions of viewers.

This is especially true in the case of the massacre of poor Chiara Poggi, and let’s recall some key moments from this remake.

1) Let’s not forget, it all began the day before Andrea Sempio’s 2025 birthday. For the astrological reasons I’ve already described, he can be likened, according to a common thread, to the “real or imaginary” cases of Franz Kafka and Enzo Tortora, to choose two very representative ones. Do you remember how this remake began? A massive presence, in just a few hours, on major Italian crime shows, of Alberto Stasi’s new defense team, left everyone speechless when he announced that the Pavia Prosecutor’s Office had re-instated Andrea Sempio’s case in the register of suspects, especially because “the world’s leading geneticist,” “through a new test,” had determined that Sempio’s DNA was present around poor Chiara’s fingernails. Let’s never forget this starting point. It then took several days to realize that it was almost certainly a hoax. And, even if the matter hasn’t been fully resolved before a judge, there are absolutely no grounds for it to be interpreted in this way.

2) Immediately afterward, another damning piece of evidence was presented: Andrea Sempio’s “bloody” fingerprint next to the victim’s body. A second hoax of stratospheric proportions, which, despite significant precedents for the multiplication of loaves and fishes, will fail miserably, especially because no one will be able to turn 6 or 7 fingerprint details into fifteen! But, in the meantime, a good portion of the population is already crying foul, and many are wondering why waste any more time and why, instead, a more fair and practical hanging in the street isn’t being carried out.

3) We were assured that the garbage test would prove the presence of other murderers who, before proceeding with their dirty work, had sipped tea with the victim, just minutes before the execution: another elephantine own goal that demonstrated, if proof were still needed, that the only person present at the crime scene was the convicted Alberto Stasi.

4) But, fear not: here, immediately, is another rock-solid piece of evidence, freshly baked that day: the DNA of Unknown Person 3, “accomplice of Stasi and Sempio,” whose DNA was in the mouth of the poor girl killed on August 13, 2007. Don’t forget the script and the scenography of the presentation of this evidence: a lawyer warning the public: “And this isn’t about contamination!”, accompanying these prophetic words with no less than five distinct gestures of the index finger of his left hand (or was it his right?).

5) Even this enormous new, groundbreaking piece of evidence ended miserably…

6) But fear not: for flat-earthers, there’s a huge reservoir of evidence at their disposal. It’s a shame, however, that suggestions aren’t proof, and asking, for example, even in this case, whether Lee Harvey Oswald was the real assassin of John Kennedy is certainly suggestive and expendable in terms of thrilling narrative, but it remains only a suggestion.

7) Still in the realm of suggestions. There was more than one assassin. And who says so? There’s not a shred of evidence for that. At the crime scene, in a year when drones couldn’t yet be used to kill people, a single size 42 shoe print was found, not “multiple footprints.”

8) It’s said that one person alone wasn’t enough to harm poor Chiara like that: and why? Read the documents from the conviction: it’s certain that the girl opened the door to someone she knew, in her pajamas, and as soon as she turned her back, she received the first, almost fatal, blow to the back of the head. The rest is fantasy. It doesn’t take hours to inflict such cruelty on a dying girl.

9) Someone points out: “Do you realize the ferocity involved?” Yes, and this is the main reason that pins the crime down as a local crime and rules out the possibility of the passing vacuum cleaner salesman.

10) But everyone clearly sees the inconsistency between Stasi’s account and the facts! Of course not: because, as written in the conviction, the Convicted Man described the scene he had left, with Chiara still free of blood. Only in the following hours did the poor girl die, still bleeding and sliding down the cellar stairs.

11) If we then turn to astrology, the true Supreme Court, this tells us that the culprit is Alberto Stasi and that Andrea Sempio has absolutely nothing to do with this matter.

12) But several errors were made in the investigation! Sure, but do we also want to say that these errors favored the convicted man? There were bloody fingerprints on the victim’s pajamas, and they were rendered useless by turning her body over. Alberto Stasi told the fib that he had climbed over a two-meter wall, and no one among the investigators attempted to verify whether this was true. The trash on Alberto Stasi’s computer was accidentally emptied by the Carabinieri: but who benefited from that emptying? The black bicycle, never declared by the convicted man, was deliberately not seized, and we could go on…

13) And the Cappa twins? What do the Cappa twins have to do with this? We have a murderer and a certain innocent man. What’s the point of adding alleged perpetrators to the crime scene? Anyway, for the record, as I’ve already written, I requested their birth certificates two months ago, which I received a few days ago, with great difficulty. Clearly, these two documents contain incorrect birth details. I’m certain these are formal errors and that there’s no conspiracy behind them. I’ve reported these errors to the Registry Office and haven’t received a response. After the August bank holiday, which lasts weeks here, I’ll wait for the Sant’Ambrogio long weekend and the Christmas holidays, which, as everyone knows, last over a month. Then, if they force me, I’ll have to take legal action, but this will only serve to provide overwhelming and definitive proof of Paola and Stefania Cappa’s innocence in the crime in question.

14) The question of Lee Harvey Oswald in the assassination of John Kennedy remains open. But that’s another story.
