The Successful Launch of Relationship Compatibility 2.0 in Milan
Last night in Milan, a crowded presentation marked the debut of Relationship Compatibility Score 2.0. Chiara Barbaro, owner and our gracious host, successfully shared her enthusiasm for this latest “jewel” with the many attendees—a tool that honors true Astrology in contrast to mere “horoscopy.”
Dear friends joined us from all over Italy—Campania, Puglia, Piedmont, Trentino, and beyond. The questions were many, and the audience participation was far from ordinary. The topic was incredibly intriguing; someone even predicted that by the time we present Compatibility Score 3.0 in a few years, even the ghosts of “Astrologies” improperly considered our “cousins” will be in attendance.
For us, the evening went exceptionally well; it was a joy to see and embrace so many dear friends once again. A special mention goes to the venue, Après Coup, a true Milanese treasure I hadn’t visited before, but one I intend to frequent, starting with the hospitality of the owner. The audience was highly qualified, consisting of people who have followed our work for decades and with whom we share a bond of mutual affection and esteem.
As of last night, the Relationship Compatibility Score 2.0 site is live and, as always, free to use at the usual address: https://www.myastral.org/pages/affinitycouple
Until next time…
Chronicle of the Event and the Algorithm’s Numbers
Yesterday afternoon, Chiara Barbaro, owner of MyAstral.org, announced the details of this important launch. Curated by myself and created exclusively for MyAstral.org, the 2.0 score is now operational following the official presentation held in Milan on January 8, 2026, at the Après Coup library-café.
Elective Affinity and Compatibility Score 2.0: A Bit of History
This is a much-debated topic that often sees astrologers from different schools on opposing sides. I must admit that I have had a serious methodological rethink on this subject in recent years, and I am not ashamed of it. In 1978, in Guida all’astrologia (Armenia ed.), I wrote that signs at 90 degrees should never unite; I was even more categorical then, stating that school children should be taught never to partner with someone born three months before or after them.
Later, extensive case studies forced me to face reality: couples with signs in quadrature (square) were actually the most numerous among those married or cohabiting for many years. I discussed this with esteemed colleagues, particularly my friend Lisa Morpurgo. She confirmed finding the same reality in her archives and encouraged me to conduct statistical research on a large sample to prove it.
Together with Luigi Miele, I conducted research published in Ricerca ‘90 (January 1991), analyzing 2,116 couples (4,232 subjects) from the Gauquelin archives. The results showed that couples with the Sun in square or opposition were by far the most frequent. Today, I am absolutely convinced that the square and opposition of natal Suns are the most important “certification” of a solid, long-term relationship. Another widely accepted factor is the conjunction of one partner’s Sun with the other’s Moon. Unions characterized by a trine (e.g., Libra with Gemini) proved much less significant.
The Scoring Rules (The 2.0 Evolution)
Together with Luigi Miele, we developed a system to assign a “grade” to each couple based on tradition, personal experience, and statistical data. The rules are:
-
+8 points if Sun A is square or opposite Sun B (+11 points if within 2 degrees).
-
+8 points if Sun A is conjunct Moon B (or vice versa); (+11 points if within 2 degrees).
-
+4 points for any aspect linking the Sun, Ascendant, or Moon of A with the Sun, Ascendant, or Moon of B (+8 points if within 2 degrees).
-
+5 points for “Signs of Destiny” (the same sign, the opposite, or those at 90 degrees). Note: If a specific square or opposition is already counted, these 5 points are not added to avoid double-counting.
-
+4 points for an aspect between Venus A and Mars B (or vice versa), as the Venus-Mars draw remains crucial in synastry.
Reference Benchmarks:
-
0–5: Non-existent relationship.
-
5–10: Mediocre.
-
10–15: Important.
-
15–20: Very important.
-
20+: Exceptional. (Note: While the new algorithm allows for much higher scores, 20 remains a threshold for excellence).
Why the Change?
Over the last two years, we decided to apply the “Rule 34” logic to natal charts: aspects with very tight orbs (under 2 degrees) carry immense weight. For example, my wife Daniela and I both have the Moon at the 10th degree (mine in Sagittarius, hers in Gemini). Under the old system, which didn’t sufficiently reward this tight Coniunctio Oppositorum (as Jung called it), we scored 25/44. With the new algorithm, we score 37/44, which finally does justice to 55 years of my observations.
Other Interesting Comparisons (Old vs. New):
-
Sigmund Freud & Carl Jung: 32 → 24 (The new engine is more precise regarding orbs).
-
Ciro Discepolo & Luigi Galli: 33 → 53. (Our Moons are just 2 arc-minutes apart! An exceptional bond until his death).
-
John Lennon & Yoko Ono: 12 → 24.
-
Identical Twins (born same minute): 63 → 91 (The theoretical maximum).
This software is not meant to be the “word of God,” but a concrete, objective reference point for analyzing the quality of a bond.
Note: Event photos were kindly taken by the Valet.

The new version of the Relationship Compatibility Score 2.0 is wonderful, I encourage everyone to try it out!Thank you, Maestro and Chiara Barbaro!
Dear Ciro, out of curiosity, I was looking for a location for my next aimed SR. I saw Kuwait City with Jupiter conjunct Midheaven or Manama with Venus conjunct Ascendant. Is there a place halfway between where I could have the two angular planets? Thanks for your valuable advice. Angelo 3/1/1959 in Turin hour 12.45
Angelo, have you tried using MyAstral directly within Google Maps? I tried it for just three minutes, and it gave me Lindi, in Tanzania. Maybe if you study this way for half an hour, you can get Jupiter in the MC and Venus in the AS even closer.
Thanks very much Dear Ciro
Dear Dr Discepolo
I hope you are well and that you had a good start of the new year.
For my ALR of February, I identified Florø, Norway as a possible location.
It appears to be in line with the 34 rules, and even places Jupiter in conjunction with the AS — but Uranus is in the cusp of the 11th/12th house.
Would you accept this configuration for a ALR, in the context of a positive ASR, with no major ongoing negative transits, and a protective Jupiter placement?
And should Pluto in the 8th house of ALR be a matter of concern when it comes to financial aspects, considering that it is reinforced by the same placement in my current ASR?
My DOB is May 11th 1980 at 13:31PM in Livorno (IT).
Thank you in advance for your insights,
Kind Regards,
Valentina
Valentina,
in this case, we can accept such an ALR, and I wouldn’t worry too much about Pluto in the eighth House either.
Thank you for your reply, much appreciated 🙂
Dear Mr. Discepolo, frequently I have read about the good position of Juppiter conjunt to the midheaven, a SR.
But is it the same in order to have Venus conjunct to the midheaven in a ASL or ALR ? Thank you very much
Yes, it’s the same thing, but Jupiter is much more powerful than Venus in that position.
Dear master
My compliments for the update of the couple affinity which is indeed extremely useful and an important occasion to study more.
As to study more, I am studying my new lunar returns. I am calculating them with the following datas: 17.12.64 Rimini 16.37. My solar return 2025 was in Stolby ( about 80 km above Yakutsk).
For the lunar return of 24th February I was considering Dubai. The doubt I have is that in Dubai I will have 3 planets in 8th house. Would you accept that for a lunar return or it is too risky?
Dear Vipsania,
for an ALR, it’s acceptable.
.
Dear Master, i have a doubt ^ I no longer remeber if in one of your 37 rules ,one of them prohibts or advises against put one planet in 12 house and two planets in 1 house , or vice versa… can u refersh my dilemma?this is example: lady born in Potenza 12 luglio 1970 hour 11.30 am SR 2026 for Belfast , EIRE, ascendent in 5th house, Jupiter in 6th house, Venus in 7th house, stellium in 3th house, but PLuto in 12 and Saturn and Neptun in 1th house. can or not? thanks for your precious advise
Dear Angelo,
It’s not possible, as rule number 32 of the 34 states. Even if, to be provocative, it were Jupiter in the twelfth House and then Jupiter twice in the first House, it’s not possible to accept them.
I remind you that for less than a month now, I’ve been posting YouTube videos with the 34 rules, commented on via the third Italian edition of my book “Transits and Solar Returns.”
Thanks very much for your advice !
Dear Ciro,
I am writing to ask what influence a planet may have in the context of a ASR when it is knocking on the following cusp, within the same astrological sign, being conjunct to it in application. Up to how many degrees is it considered to have an influence also on the following house?
Moreover, in case the cusp in in another sign, does this sign shift create a barrier?
Best
Chiara
Dear Chiara,
From the type of question you’re asking, I think you’re asking it in an “esoteric” way, and if so, my answer is no. The so-called inviolable barriers between one sign and another don’t exist and are a legacy of esoteric astrology practiced a couple of centuries ago. If you then provide the precise birth data and rewrite the question with a specific example, I can confirm what I just wrote.
Dear Ciro,
I am looking for my best ASR 2026 and am lost. That’s it.
01/09/1983
4.45 pm Florence Italy
Going to Vila do Porto implies Venus in 6th house but I’m not sure it will be beneficial also for the 5th.
Otherwise, I am open also to different places. My goal is to have the best ASR allowed by my configuration if 2026 which is not the best
Thanks
Chiara
Hi, I’m starting a relationship with a Scorpio guy, I like and get along very well with. At my next solar return, can I leave Pluto in the fifth house or is it detrimental to the relationship? Considering he’s a Scorpio.
Thanks master
Pluto in the fifth House of SR, in itself, is not harmful to relationships.
Dear Ciro,
I am going to buy an apartment and will go to the notary on Feb 12th at 9 am. I am not going to live there, the purchase is as a business to rent it out. What is the moment that I should consider as the birth of the event? You say in your book elective astrology that the moment of signing before the notary is not important. Should I go there for an inauguration even though I am not going to live there? Would the birth be considered with the fist visit to show the apartment to prospective tenants?
Thank you
No, Carolina: be careful. If you’re buying a house to live in, then the first moment you enter the house and drink a coffee, eat a snack, use the bathroom, and make a phone call is crucial. If, however, it’s a real estate-financial transaction, it’s crucial to choose a beautiful sky for the moment you sign the deed in front of the notary.
Thank you Ciro. I will change the notary appointment.
Dear Mr. Discepolo, in your recest intervention, here on the blog, frequently you said that is important, in SR or LR, have Saturn at 12 gr to the MC of Return.
In your important book “Transiti e Rivoluzioni Solari “, to have Mars in X , meaning a “stress for emancipation”.
Dear Master have you some advise, or indication, about the distance of Mars by the MC? Or we can use the common rules for the cuspid planets, ie 2,5 gr to distance by the cuspids (if you don t want intentionally use booth houses of Revolution).?
Thank you very much
Dear Luca,
Don’t worry: it wasn’t an oversight on my part.
You won’t find in my books how many degrees away it is necessary to place Mars in the ASR from the Midheaven because, as I’ve explained in many of my books, I don’t consider this position dangerous or harmful.
Of course, every time we have it in the ASR chart, we’ll have to fight tooth and nail, but unlike Saturn, which can push us back, even significantly, on the social/professional ladder, this position almost always allows us to move forward, “with a dagger in our mouth,” and in fact, I often choose it as the basis for an ASR.
Dear Master
I have to select an ASR for my daughter which is born 17.3.2010 at 8.45 in Rome. She is serene and her only struggling is the school as the last two years she had debts for the summer. This year she is doing well and she wish to continue so. I have found two different solutions through myastral: 1 is Cayenne ( French Guyana) which however has saturn and neptune in the 3rd house ( but also venus). 2 is Chinmen in Taiwan where however saturn and neptune are in gaugeline position. What do you think it is more appropriate for a young girl? What is the right way of reasoning? Shall i work to find a solution to ameliorate Taiwan or Cayenne is good? How do you work when you start to building a solar return for adolescente? Thank you so much
Dear Vipsania, in Taiwan, Saturn is very close to the Midheaven, which isn’t good. Cayenne is excellent, and Saturn and Neptune are good in the third House, as she will have to make sacrifices to repay past debts.
Best wishes.
Good morning Prof Discepolo,
I am writing to you because last week, while discussing ASRs with an unbelieving friend, he pointed out to me that his teacher, Andre Barbault, considered Solar Revolutions to be of secondary importance compared to transits. Why is that?
Thanks
Because André Barbault, despite being one of the greatest astrologers in history, didn’t study Solar Returns.
P.S. For a comprehensive explanation on this topic, I recommend reading the book I and others wrote, “Astrologi Contemporanei a confronto.”
Good morning prof. Discepolo,
I am writing to you because I would like to know whether, for a neurodegenerative disease, it is better to place Jupiter in the sixth house or in the first (obviously in the solar revolution).
I would also like to ask you whether it is possible that Uranus in the sixth house of revolution, in the context of a solar revolution without violating its 34 rules, could represent a twist, namely the discovery of a disease, which in this case is neurodegenerative.
Thank you very much
Yes, Uranus in the sixth House can, unfortunately, also lead to a similar discovery. Both Jupiter in the sixth House and in the first ASR can greatly help you get good medical care, but, in my experience, when we bring Jupiter very close to the Ascendant, perhaps at zero degrees, this is more effective than any other position.
Dear master
I am calculating the solar return for a friend. He did not travelled last year and had a very bad year. He needs to solve his love situation as he would like to find the strengh to leave his long lasting wife for his new lover. He is born on 4.05.1973 at 19.00 in Civitavecchia. I would suggest Resende in Brasil. How would you judge my choice?
Thanks
Vipsania
Dear Vipsania,
It seems like an excellent choice, and perhaps you can improve it further if you’re certain of her birth time: right there, and keeping Jupiter very close to the AS, try to place Uranus on the cusp (useful for such a radical change) and remove the AS from the eighth cusp.
Best wishes.
Dear Ciro,
I have a question:
In my next SR, I will have Pluto in the 8th house. I have a large amount of tax to pay. The very last deadline for this payment is one day after my next SR.
Would it be wise to pay on the last day of the deadline to give Pluto a ‘gift’ right away?
Kind regards,
Corinne
Yes, Corinne, it’s a good strategy, but Pluto, perhaps, wants something else…
Comment *Dear Ciro, I’ve been following your blog with interest. I’d also like to ask your opinion. For my next RSM, I’m considering whether to choose Buenos Aires or stay in Europe, in Berlin. What do you recommend? My data is Rome, September 21, 1967, 3:30 PM. Thank you so much, Monica.
If I had to choose between these two cities, if I were sure of the time of my birth, I would certainly choose Buenos Aires.
Good morning Ciro,
I have a question but I’m not sure if you can help me. I have a job opportunity in La Paz, Bolivia (starting in June). I’ve consulted astro-cartography, but I’m not convinced by the relocation chart, as it would have Uranus near the Ascendant on the 12th house side. My last SR was in Akita, Japan. My birth date: December 31, 1996, in Foggia, Italy, at 1:05 PM.
P.S: We suspect my birth time could also be 1:10 PM or 1:15 PM.
Good morning M.
I didn’t draw the chart because I trust it: there’s no reason to move to a place where our birth relocation gives us Uranus near the Ascendant.
Sorry.
Thanks Ciro, thank you for your valuable opinion.
Good morning, Ciro,
thanks for this very interesting blog. I have this question: since Saturn in the 9th house should be at least 12 degrees from the MC, what is the minimum tolerable distance for Uranus in the 12th house from the ASC?Good morning, Ciro, thanks for this very interesting blog. I have this question: since Saturn in the 9th house should be at least 12 degrees from the MC, what is the minimum tolerable distance for Uranus in the 12th house from the ASC?
Thanks a lot for your reply
No, the logic is completely different. Saturn in the 9th does very little damage. Saturn in the 10th does a lot of damage, some of it irreversible.
Uranus in the 12th is quite dangerous, from many points of view, but Uranus in the 1st is also quite dangerous, so rather than calculating how many degrees away from the AS to place it, it’s better, if possible, to remove it from both Houses.
Good! To have a Sun in the Midheaven, Venus in the 10th, and Jupiter in the 2nd house, I’ve accepted Uranus in the 1st at 8 degrees from the Asc. Let’s hope for the best! Anyway, thanks so much for your reply.
Dear Ciro,
If in a solar return chart, we place Venus and Jupiter in the 7th house, what is the importance of Jupiter’s bistable oscilatorio effect? We will obtain mixed results, or will the goodness of Venus prevail? Thank you
Dear Carolina,
If there are no violations of the 34 rules in the Solar Return we’re discussing, then the year will be dominated by a “positive Jupiter,” especially in the seventh House.
Comment *Good evening, Ciro, I’m asking for your help, please.
I’m a little worried, as I read in your book, about my 26/27th astrological year with a revered ascendant in the 12th house and the Sun in the 12th.
I’m continuing to read your book, but I’m realizing that Active Astrology, or the study of astrology, might not be for me, or maybe this isn’t the time to understand it.
If I read what you write about the three terrible houses and then look at my astrological year, it makes me feel sick. Could it be that terrible? How could I control my anxiety about possible distressing scenarios?
Thank you.
Good morning, Aurora,
I’ll try to explain my thoughts by telling you something that happened to me during my first few years of giving astrology consultations.
A lady came to me for a consultation. She told me about her problems, I explained several things, and then told her that her stars were good that year and she had nothing to worry about. Back then, my consultations, by my own will, were almost timeless, so this conversation lasted several hours.
At the end of the consultation, the lady asked me, almost in tears, “So, you don’t see anything good for me?”
That day, I decided to record every future consultation, and so I did.
Now, in an attempt to answer your question, I remind you that the school of astrology I created is called Active Astrology because it doesn’t want to be distant from people’s problems in any way and aims to use two tools to help others improve their lives: “Returns” (both solar and lunar) and the “Exorcism of Symbols.”
I have published dozens of books on these two different paradigms in approximately 56 years of activity.
You’ve already asked me how to avoid problems from your next birthday onward, and I advised you to go to Mary in Turkmenistan to spend your birthday.
You replied that you’d go to Capri or Bari instead.
Now you’re asking for help again. Fine: if you can’t go, you can try to exorcise bad astral positions (let’s call things by their true name) by following the rules in one of my most important books: “Active Astrology.”
If even this doesn’t satisfy you, then you’ve probably come to the wrong place to ask for help. You could turn to a magician who promises, by applying his hands to a photo of you and receiving a fee of $100-$200, to avoid all the bad positions you fear.
Best wishes again.
Dear Master Ciro,
I hope this message finds you well.
I would like to respectfully submit a question regarding my upcoming SR.
.
Several locations have been identified as potentially significant, namely Cebu, Shanghai, and São Paulo, in Brazil.
For your reference, I am a woman, born on July 31, 1970, at 2:00 pm in Milan, Italy.
I would be deeply grateful for your opinion on which of these places might best suitable and for any guidance you may wish to offer.
Thank you very much for your time, attention, and wisdom.
Best regards,
Dear Amanda,
I’ll give you some advice, but with one important recommendation: if you’re unsure of your birth time, you need to first take steps to correct it. When you leave, if, as I believe, you haven’t yet reached this correction, you’ll need to allow for wider safety margins than what I’m going to tell you now.
The two ASRs for Cebu and Shanghai aren’t suitable because Venus would be almost zero degrees from the Ascendant there. If we were talking about Jupiter, then yes, you should try to place it zero degrees from the Ascendant, but Venus, no, because that would also mean placing Venus in the twelfth House, which translates into trials or suffering for a loved one, regardless of whether you’re married or single and whether you have children or not.
If you like that sky, correct it with the one in Fuzhou, also in China, where we move Venus slightly away from the AS and which perhaps you could use as a first test to correct your birth time: if you were born before 2:00 PM, Saturn would fall in the eighth House and would already be a starting point for trying to correct this very important element of your biography.
I also don’t like the choice of São Paulo: why glue Neptune to the AS?
I try to never have Saturn and Neptune fall in the first, sixth, or twelfth House, but perhaps you could do it, once, to obtain an exceptional ASR, like the one in Santa Teresita (near Buenos Aires) if we were certain of the 2:00 PM starting time: there you would get a Venus at zero degrees on the Descendant and the Sun, Jupiter, and Ascendant in the fifth House!!
But there, if you were born just a few minutes before 2:00 PM, you would have the Moon in the 12th, which, combined with the two stars in the 1st, would mean a serious violation of the 34 rules.
Best wishes.
Dear Maestro,
First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay in my reply; I was waiting to receive the complete birth certificate extract.
I can confirm that, according to the extract—and also according to my mother’s recollection—I was born at 2:00 p.m.
That said, I would like to point out that some doubts have nevertheless arisen, since the solar return calculated for Sofia in 2022 did not turn out as expected. For this reason, it has been considered that I may actually have been born approximately ten minutes later.
Unfortunately, as you well know, there are no other ways to verify the exact birth time other than the birth certificate and a mother’s memory.
Finally, regarding the locations you mentioned in China, I have noticed that there are actually two places with that name, located in two different regions. Could you therefore kindly specify which one—and in which region—you mean, so that I know where I should travel for my next solar return?
Thank you very much, and please accept my apologies once again for the late response.
Best
Dear Amanda,
This post of yours is “blind,” meaning it recalls another post of yours from the past that neither I nor the other bloggers know about.
I invite you, again, as I do every day with everyone, to post, if you wish, complete messages that include all the information needed to respond.
This is not a private chat between two people.
Dear Master Ciro,
I forgot to mention that I am single and have no children.
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely
Good morning Ciro,
A dear friend of mine is stuck in Dubai and will celebrate his birthday tomorrow without being able to reach his destination.
In Dubai, his ASR predicts Ascendant in the sixth and Mars in the sixth: how can he best exorcise these positions? What strategies do you recommend? Could it be a year of heavy commitment that will lead to significant growth, given that he will also have Jupiter on the cusp of the tenth and eleventh?
Thank you very much.
Good morning, Paul.
Yes, what you’re saying makes sense, but don’t get your hopes up: your friend can do that too, but it won’t be enough. The ones you mentioned are among the most severe positions in a Solar Return and can’t be neutralized with small or even very small actions.
Below are some tips from my book “Active Astrology.”
Best wishes.
Mars in the Sixth House of Solar Return
This is about parrying some more severe blows. Whether it manifests itself at work, in relationships with others, or in relation to health, it’s a rather tricky position. Regarding the first topic, it’s a good idea to let him vent by telling his story, for example, to a colleague we just can’t stand. If we have to argue, this is the right time: certain interpersonal relationships in the workplace can hold up to a certain point, but not indefinitely. At most, we can try to do more strenuous work during the year, such as tidying up filing cabinets, carrying large piles of heavy files, improvising as laborers, and moving furniture, even if it’s not our job. When it comes to health, the dentist remains the best solution: a few “good” drills can prevent much more serious problems. Let’s try to visit him frequently and also get some extra cleanings, the so-called “open” kind (cutting the gum and removing the tartar underneath). For women, an extra visit to the gynecologist will also be helpful, as he may find some sores that can be healed with an electrosurgical device. For everyone, a chiropractic appointment will be fine: raise your hand if you don’t have any bone pain! However, with a position like this, the problem shouldn’t be underestimated, and it would be wise to try to implement all the rules I’ve grouped under the heading “prosthetics” elsewhere in this book. In other words, here it will almost never be enough to simply adopt the homeopathic principle of similia similibus curantur (likes like cures likes). It is necessary first to prevent and then combat with opposites. Let’s look at some examples. Chronic gastric patients know well that with the change of season, their acid secretion increases, and consequently, their symptoms worsen, with a serious risk of gastric ulcers. Therefore, when such a position occurs, it will be necessary to take, under medical supervision, ranitidine or another similar drug, try to stop drinking coffee and all those substances that can upset the stomach: citrus fruit juices, spirits, and so on. Similarly, those suffering from cervical osteoarthritis will begin to wear a wool scarf and hat, sleep with a sand heating pad behind the pillow, and adopt all the precautions that every patient knows well. In other words, here it is necessary to play a strong defensive role, because this position in the Solar Return is truly unpleasant and, if combined with other difficult SR positions, could be very critical for any of us. Therefore, let’s avoid underestimating it and take all necessary measures to avoid falling victim to it, remembering, above all, that during these intercepted months, all the recurrences of the ailments we periodically suffer from recur. It goes without saying, of course, that if we have a surgical operation to undergo, now is the time to proceed, keeping in mind the general rules that apply to any operation, such as the one that states that we should never undergo surgery when the Moon is in the sign corresponding to the organ to be operated on. Furthermore, we must not forget that when Mars of the Solar Return is in the first, sixth, or twelfth house, and also in all those particularly negative situations, it is best to resort to fasting occasionally—total and therapeutic fasting, if possible, otherwise partial fasting—feeding ourselves with the bare essentials: a little hot broth, some chestnuts for the stomach, a little bread and cheese, or fresh fruit.
Perfect Grand Master, you are always the best!
If I understand correctly to exorcise Ascendant and Mars in the sixth house he will have to do the following:
– visit the dentist for a nice implant procedure
– go to the gym at least 4 times a week for intense sessions
– fast cyclically, for example once a week
– eat like an athlete, giving up sweets
– have osteopathy or chiropractic sessions
– take on intense workloads (professionally).
Could a colonoscopy and proctological surgery also be useful for this purpose?
Is there anything else I can recommend?
Many thanks
Above all, open-air curettage: five teeth at a time, every two or three weeks, where the dentist, if he agrees, will trim the gums, remove the tartar underneath, and stitch them up. Beyond that, there’s only – I think – Chinese torture…
Dear Ciro,
next week I will fly to Belem -BRA- for my SR and in order to make my journey better as possible, last week I was in Athens for a lunar return. Do you think I have done a good job?
Thank you in advance
Max
Milan 11 march 1970 15,20
Dear Max,
Belem is a good choice.
Athens is a little less so because, as you know, by placing three stars in the sixth House, you violated one of the 34 strictest rules. It’s true that in a LR, you can do this, and you probably chose Athens for financial reasons. However, look at the sky just west of Kimberley (South Africa) and you’ll notice that there, you could have placed Jupiter even more tightly in the MC, while also placing Venus on the cusp of the sixth House, thus protecting your health somewhat.
Dear master
First of all i would like to alert anyonevwho is stucked in Dubai that they can reach Oman as the airport is open now. Muscat can be reached by car.
I would like also to ask you a question
I am calculating the RSM of a friend born 10.07.1966 in Milan at 23.50. She is starting a new career after several years out of work. She is willing to be a coach. She also started last year a new relationship following a bad divorce and the new relationship is going ok. I though of suggestimg her to go to Bari. Do you agree?
Dear Vipsania,
Yes, I also gave the same advice to some who contacted me privately about Dubai, but as you know, there’s none so deaf as he who won’t listen…
Bari is a good choice for your friend.
Kind regards.
Ciro, good morning. I was wondering what you think about the situation in the Middle East, since I do active astrology for those of us who are active in the Middle East. I’m planning two flights between the end of March and the beginning of March. I heard they’ve closed airspace for the East. Hugs, Silvia D.
Good morning, Silvia. As you can read in today’s other posts, Vipsania has already addressed the issue, and I confirmed: it’s possible to arrive or depart from Dubai by land, or from Doha, or from Muscat (it’s just a few hours’ drive).
I don’t think the explosive part of this situation can drag on for too long because the economic interests involved are too high and can’t be sacrificed. However, I think anyone who needs to travel there these days should have a plan B.
Dear master
I am calculating my lunar return for next May. I have identified two options: 1 is Brindisi and 2 is Marseille I would prefer Marseille but I am worried about the stellium in 10 with uranus which I have also in my solar. Which one would you select if you were me?
Thanks
Vipsania
Dear VIPSANIA,
In each post, you must include everything, including your complete birth details and the application, and not reference other posts.
Dear master
Sorry. I forgot.
I am calculating my lunar return of May 2026. I am using the following datas: 17.12.1064 at 16.37 in Rimini.
I have identified two options: 1 Brindisi and the other Marseille. I would select Marseille but I am scared of the Stellium with Uranus in 10. As my solar return has also uranus in 10. Which one would you select among the two? Would you search for something else?
Thanks
Dear VIPSANIA,
I definitely recommend Marseille, also because, as you know, I think you were born at 4:43 PM and not 4:37 PM. This Marseille ALR will allow you to take a new and important test of your birth time by verifying, a month later, whether Saturn will be in the ninth House, as you think, or in the eighth House, as I think.
dear Master
I am studying and testing the Relationship Compatibility 2.0. I have a question: ff two people met each other and likes each other (they already confirmed to each other that have a reciprocal sexual attraction) and their score is 28/44, would you expect that an actual relationship would certainly occur? I am asking that because I am studying the case of a female friend that met a man which is 15 years her younger. They likes each other and have a strong physical attraction and their score is 28/44 but in the last few days he was disappointed with her and disappeared. Now she is asking my advice. Based on the score I am seeing (28/44) I think I could tell her that I believe that the relationship will certainly occur and will be significant. Do you agree or in any event even if the score is high nothing ensure that the relationship will continue? I know the question seems stupid but I keep on receiving this sort of estimate from my friends 🙂
No, Vipsania, your question isn’t stupid, but it requires a complex answer. You’ve already answered the first one: the score is good.
Then there’s a second question: have you checked whether there are simultaneously negative aspects of Mars on either side of the other’s Sun, Moon, Ascendant, or Mars? As you know, but it would take too long to rewrite it here, this is an evaluation that must be made outside of the calculation algorithm. If there’s a bad Mars angle between the two, even a 28 or 40 point score will be lost.
Finally, there’s a third important consideration to consider, aside from the politeness and non-violence of both: if he’s called Casanova, then it will be a quick fling… If he tends to be monogamous, then the hopes of a long-term relationship are significant and convincing.
Dear Ciro,
For a friend of mine (born in Rome on 18 August 1966, at 10:30 am) MyAstral automatically includes Rome among its automatically suggested ASR locations, under the “Wellness” criterion.
What concerns me is the presence of Saturn in the 12th House, which your book “The New Treatise of Solar Returns” indicates as a particularly unfavourable position.
Is that something to worry about or can it be disregarded for this specific ASR?
Thank you so much for your generous insights.
Good morning, Gladstone.
What you write isn’t as strange as it might seem. MyAstral, in automatic mode and targeting “Well-being,” also indicates Rome, with three stars out of fifteen, because in Rome your friend would indeed place Venus in the sixth House and because the position of Saturn and Neptune in the twelfth House does not constitute a direct violation of the 34 rules (the situation would be completely different if, for example, the Moon or Mercury were added to Saturn and Neptune).
However, it should be noted, as with other situations we often discuss in this space, that the exhaustive explanation of the 34 rules occupies the first 15 pages or so of the book in question. However, it should be remembered that the book itself extends to about 600 pages, and where, in the chapter on Saturn in the twelfth House and Neptune in the same sector, situations are described that are best avoided whenever possible.
In short, remember that MyAstral, in addition to expressing a good/bad rating, also offers the ability to “weigh” the good and “bad” of each proposed exercise. Returning to the case in question, if I were studying a wellness target, I would look for 15 stars, not 3.
Best wishes.
Dear Ciro, is it always safe to place SR Jupiter over SR MC, in any circumstance, or is this a misconception? Thank you so much.
Gladstone, I’m not clear about your question. Please try to explain yourself better, without referring to previous chats.
Dear Ciro, I am not referring to any previous charts. I just wonder, in general, if attaching SR Jupiter to SR MC is always a safe choice, to the point that all other aspects could be ignored.
I apologise in advance should this be a stupid question.
Thank you so much.
Gladstone, your question is still unclear. If you want me to answer, please provide precise birth and SR information and repeat your question regarding that specific case.
Dear Maestro,
I’m writing in your blog after many years. For a long time, I felt like an orphan, ever since you decided to revisit your daily blog. For a very long time, it was the first page I read as soon as I turned on my computer.
It was 2009 when I discovered Active Astrology. Since then, I’ve done RSM every year; in these years I’ve had the pleasure of reading 15 of your books; I keep your ephemeris book always on my bedside table, and frequently watching your “pillole di astrologia” videos.
Years ago, I also came to your meeting at the Hotel Due Golfi and in Rome.
I feel great respect and gratitude towards you, for how you have influenced my life and my vision of things.
Unfortunately, I’m still a novice. I understand a little about RSM, but I have great difficulty interpreting birth charts, even though they fascinate me.
I’d like to ask you for advice regarding the libido and predisposition of the daughter of friends I love as if she were my own. She’s having trouble choosing a course of study or career right now that she’s finishing high school.
She was born in Genova on May 14, 2007 at 11:45 am
Thanks again and again.
Welcome back, Ilaria.
Your young friend has strong Saturn-Capricorn values (the Sun is in the Tenth House and Saturn is conjunct the Ascendant) and therefore should preferably aim for long-term careers, such as positions in regional or city government or in politics in general. Taurus, the Eleventh House, and the Fifth House are very strong, so the entire tourism, entertainment, or art sectors will be ideal. After graduation, in my opinion, she could dedicate herself significantly to the Cultural Heritage sector or to organizations involved in entertainment, music, or singing, but more in organizational and management roles than as a direct protagonist.
Best wishes.
Dear Ciro,
I’m writing to you because I’d like to start looking ahead at my 2027 birthday.
I was born on March 9, 1983, at 7:40 AM in Paternò (CT).
For my 2027 ASR, I’ve found a logistically easy solution in Ankara (Turkey), but I’m not convinced about Uranus in the 6th house.
I also looked at an alternative around Vancouver to place Venus on the 6th/7th house cusp and Jupiter in the 1st, but Saturn would be on the Midheaven.
What do you recommend? Thank you as always
Dear Alberto, I recommend Dhahran (Saudi Arabia), which will likely involve buying a house or some real estate transaction.
Best wishes.
Sorry Ciro,
the date of the LR is 15/05/2026.
But that’s not possible, Max!
Now you want to place the Sun, Mars, and a stellium in the sixth House (in Cayenne) or the same stellium in the twelfth House in Darwin, also violating rule 34!
Be very careful because you have a close natal Mars-Saturn conjunction close to the Midheaven and could suffer a vertical fall.
Dear Ciro,
Just back from Belem, BR. Everything was fine! Now I’m writing to you for an advice. I’m planning a LR focused on money. I’ve found two places: Cayenne French Guyana and Darwin Australia.
P.S. All your 34 rules are violeted..
What do you think?
Thank you very much
Max 11/03/1970 h: 15.20 Milano
Good morning, Max.
You didn’t mention which upcoming trip you were referring to in your post. I tried for your 2027 birthday, and that seems impossible. So I assumed you were talking about your next ALR, in a week, and maybe so, but both locations are terrible: in Cayenne, you’d choose to place Mars and Saturn in the fourth House, a serious violation of rule 34.
In Darwin, you’d even place Mars and Saturn in the tenth House, a serious violation of rule 34.
Then you also add, “P.S. All your 34 rules are violated.” And I don’t understand what you mean.
One last thing: Jupiter in SR or LR can bring money in (but it can also make it go out), but only if the conditions are right for this to happen: for example, a judgment is about to become enforceable that will grant you money. But if nothing justifies this, it could also mean you’ll lose a lot of money gambling.
Be careful because Active Astrology, in some cases, can be like handing a loaded gun into the hands of a child.
Dear Ciro, for someone born in Rio Saliceto on 22 Jan 1957, at 10:00, I notice that staying on the same birthplace in 2027 is going to be a very dangerous SR. MyAstral suggests for Wellness, among others, Miami. Do you see any closer locations to escape that horrendous SR? Thank you so much.
Yes, Gladstone, much closer than Miami, you could go to KANGERLUSSUAQ/SØNDRE STRØMFJORD, GREENLAND (DENMARK), and you would achieve a true “Wellness” goal, removing both Venus from the twelfth House and Uranus from the sixth.
Best wishes.
Thank you Ciro,
sorry for them missing month: the date of the LR is 15/05/2026 Cayenne and Darwin.
Thank you again
Dear Ciro, for my sibling, MyAstral suggests Foggia as 2026 ASR, which is conveniently located in Italy. Would that be a safe 2026 ASR? [birth: Correggio, 01 Oct 1996 at 03:35 am].
Thank you so much.
Dear Gladstone,
I don’t think it’s a good idea to place Saturn and Neptune in the fifth House, along with Venus in the twelfth, even with Jupiter very close to the Midheaven. Perhaps it would be better to place Venus 3 or more degrees below the Ascendant, also removing Saturn and Neptune from the fifth House, if your close family member has children.
Perfetto. Ecco la versione “da forum”: essenziale, autosufficiente, lineare, senza fronzoli e adatta a un contesto pubblico come richiesto.

Dear Master Ciro,
I repost my question in a complete and self-contained form.
I am a woman, born on July 31, 1970, in Milan, Italy. According to both the official birth certificate and my mother’s recollection, my birth time is 2:00 p.m. I am single and have no children. Some doubts remain about the exact birth time, as a past Solar Return (Sofia 2022) did not work as expected, leading to the hypothesis of a birth time approximately 10 minutes later.
For my upcoming Solar Return, the locations initially considered were Cebu, Shanghai, and São Paulo. From your previous explanation, I understand that Cebu and Shanghai are not suitable due to Venus too close to the Ascendant (12th House), and that São Paulo is also unfavorable due to Neptune on the Ascendant.
You suggested Fuzhou (China) as a corrective alternative, where Venus would be slightly moved away from the Ascendant and which could also serve as a first test for birth-time correction (with Saturn in the 8th House if I were born before 2:00 p.m.). Since there are two cities named Fuzhou in different regions of China, I kindly ask you to confirm whether you mean Fuzhou in Fujian Province.
I have also noted your remarks regarding Santa Teresita (near Buenos Aires), which would only be advisable with absolute certainty of the 2:00 p.m. birth time, due to the risk of violating the 34 rules.
Thank you for your attention.
Best,
Amanda
No problem, Amanda: the geographical coordinates of the city I recommend you reach are 119°18’ East and 26°04’ North.
