Available immediately my Kindle book “THE MAN AND THE STARS – INTERVIEW WITH ASTROLOGY” (Amazon reference B0C6QDKRQC) which in the paper version will be 824 pages in the vertical format of 6×8.25 inches.
Here you can read the beginning:
PREFACE
I am writing the preface of this book almost at the stroke of my seventy-five years of life and I have considered this, from the first moment in which I toyed with the idea of this editorial project, my burden, a precise duty, not a pleasure and not at all an exercise in vanity or narcissism, which I should have faced for a number of reasons that I will try to explain below.
Let me step back and quote someone and something that perhaps, legitimately, more than one will deem to be a “blasphemous” reference.
The great Carl Gustav Jung who inspired an important slice of my knowledge and choices in my life, shortly before his death agreed to give a series of lectures on the English BBC and, in that cycle of radio broadcasts which later became one of his best- also a literary seller (“Man and his symbols”), the great Zurich psychologist and philosopher felt the duty to leave, with those interviews and with the book that followed, a kind of cultural testament, a “point of the situation of psychology” within the knowable, in the very few years preceding his death.
For various reasons I believe I have the duty, even before the right, to try to do the same for astrology.
And I immediately offer you a proof of what he will later develop together with Paola Cannatello, a successful writer and author to whom a very long journey of esteem and friendship binds me.
One of the questions Jung was unable to answer was: “In the light of your current knowledge, would you be able to say whether Astrology can or should be considered within a logic of phenomena of causes and effects or in the ‘streamline of what you call ‘the principle of synchronicity?’”
Unfortunately Carl Gustav Jung died and failed to answer that question.
I think I can do it, with the support of scientific studies that the father of analytical psychology did not know (I will write about it later).
Here, beyond boasting or presumptions, I have the duty to consider that to many questions on the current state of knowledge of Astrology I, more than many other colleagues and colleagues, can and must have my say, before leaving the field to whom, I hope, will be able to carry on this wonderful branch of human knowledge in the decades to come.
For obvious reasons and which place me in a position of extreme sense of duty, I have to accept the fact of being the greatest living astrologer1 and it is in reference to this, above all, that I have undertaken this new and enormous popularizing work of which I would have gladly done unless, perhaps opting for the drafting of horoscopes and horoscopes, much more lucrative than this tome which perhaps will only be read by very few people (at least as long as I’m alive).
What is written in these first few lines already says why the subtitle, which is also the real title of this book, is “Interview with Astrology.”
As always, in my life, especially as an astrologer, I expect many disputes in relation to this, but if I had sought consensus, in my life, I would have chosen another direction of my personal journey: for example, I would have continued my studies in physics, I would have graduated in that discipline, perhaps I would have even taught it at university because I study day and night what I like and I would have enjoyed the “general respect” that is due to anyone who cloaks himself in a scientific robe and/or widely admired shared.

Note:
Since I wrote such a statement, even scandalous for many, it is my duty to support it with objective elements, regardless of whether they will be recognized as such or only boasts by my opponents.
– I alone have published more books than the 4-5 most famous colleagues of mine globally have combined their books in a single calculation.
– I write, on the back cover of my books, that I have published over 140 books: in fact they are more than 160 (many of them exceed 400, 500, 600, 800 and even 1200 pages), if we consider that several of them , are, for example, increased by more than one hundred pages at a time in each successive edition.
– Esteemed and very good colleagues have published, like me, for some of the major astrological publishing houses in the world, but only the undersigned has been published, at the same time, by very prestigious competing publishing houses: I had the honor and the pleasure to publish for the American Federation of Astrologers, almost certainly the most important astrology publishing house in the world, but also – and here you can read an initial interesting comparison – for the very prestigious Éditions Traditionnelles of Paris and for the Scuola of Classical Astrology of Moscow, for the publisher Giovanni Armenia of Milan, for Edizioni Mediterranee of Rome and for many other publishing houses of international prestige. I could have continued on this road, but this would have slowed me down a lot given that for every editorial project with an important publishing house years can pass before the realization and then I preferred to publish more than half of my books with my Ricerca ‘90 publishing house and using the Amazon platform. However, I consider the issue of the Publisher to be a very important item in assessing the credibility of an author.
– After the statistical works of the Gauquelin spouses and those of Didier Castille, mine were the most important for the number of data processed in relation to astral heredity (over 75,000 subjects) and for the positive results obtained (obviously not recognized by the Official Science which I required repeating these studies indefinitely, until I found negative results). You can read about these researches in my book “Polythematic Observations on Disciple-Miele Research” which can be downloaded for free here: http://www.programmiastral.com/Osservazioni.pdf
– Only two of my astrological laws have been accepted by Official Science and they are, to all intents and purposes, the only two astrological paradigms accepted by Science. You can read about this very important chapter of my bio-bibliography (in Italian, English and French, in the following volume, downloadable for free and entitled “The 20 Days Before and After the Birthday”): https:/ /myastralblobstorage.blob.core.windows.net/books/Full_BOOK_THE_20_DAYS_BEFORE_AND_AFTER_THE_BIRTHDAY.pdf
– My passion for research in general and for scientific and statistical research in particular had a precise location when, from the age of 19 up to the age of 24, I was assistant researcher at the Italian National Research Council and, for two years , I was responsible for the “Laboratory of Electronic Measurements” of the Istituto Motori of Naples. Since then I have also loved dedicating myself to the mathematical part of Astrology, developing algorithms that allowed me to publish, before any other colleague in the world, many volumes of ancient and modern ephemeris, studies of spherical trigonometry on the Primary Directions, studies on the Placidus house extreme latitudes, highly advanced astrological software, such as MyAstral.org, which allow the automatic search for the best targeted birthdays in the world, for each year of a subject.
– In 1990 I founded the astrology quarterly Ricerca ‘90 which I published, on paper, for twenty years.
– I have posted over a thousand Astrology lessons on YouTube.
– I have published over 300 Astrology essays, almost all of them on Google Book.
– Books like Transits and Solar Returns have been best sellers around the world and have been published in eight languages: Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Slovenian and Hungarian.
– I created a new branch of astrology, Active Astrology, which today is followed by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world and which is based, above all, on the choice of spending Aimed Solar Returns and Aimed Lunar Returns in places most diverse on earth.
– I have created what we could call a new “north-west passage”, combining Astrology and analytical psychology in an unprecedented, unique path now followed by many colleagues: the exorcism of the symbol.
– On many points of Astrology practiced by thousands and thousands of students/colleagues, I have opened new paths by discovering realities that are now accepted by almost all colleagues in the world and of which I will indicate only a few:
1) Having brought to everyone’s attention the probably irrefutable reality that the eleventh house is much more mournful than the eighth.
2) Bringing to everyone’s attention the probably irrefutable reality that the Eleventh House is, above all, the House of love, hate, peace and war, between adversaries of all kinds, family, friends, spouses, partners…
3) Having brought to everyone’s attention the probably irrefutable reality that the 1st, 6th and 12th House of Solar Return or Lunar Return almost always represent very difficult appointments within a year or a month .
4) Having brought to everyone’s attention the probably irrefutable reality that the transits, in the vast majority of cases, can do nothing against the power of a RS or a RL.
5) Having brought to everyone’s attention the probably irrefutable reality that the fourth house, unlike what was postulated by a certain esoteric astrology such as that of Alexandre Volguine, does not concern the last part of life, but the second part of the life.
6) Having brought to everyone’s attention the probably irrefutable reality that the fourth house and the sign of Cancer have or a lot to do with computer science.
7) That the Ascendant, Sun and Jupiter, albeit in different ways, behave like “bistable oscillators” in the second, seventh and eighth houses.
8) That a stellium even composed only of “positive” stars is mostly difficult if it falls in various houses including the first, sixth, eighth and twelfth.
9) Having brought to everyone’s attention the probably irrefutable reality that the value of a cusp is 2.5 degrees and within the same small arc of a circumference a star functions both in the following House and in the preceding one.
10) Having brought to everyone’s attention the probably irrefutable reality that, following the studies of the Gauquelin spouses, it is necessary to take much account of the degrees following the four culmination points, without making confusion, however, between the value of a star angular and that of the same star in cusp.
11) Having brought to everyone’s attention the probably irrefutable reality that the Primary Directions absolutely do not work.
12) Having brought to everyone’s attention the probably irrefutable reality that aspects with very narrow orbits, especially tending towards zero degrees, are among the major factors worthy of study in a natal sky.
And I could go on for many more pages, but I’ll stop here, repeating that all of this, before giving me joy or satisfaction on a heuristic level, puts me in a position of duty towards Urania to whom I dedicate this umpteenth effort of mine.
Hi Ciro,
I’m writing to kindly ask you for directions for my next RSM, because I’m terribly undecided between two places. One of these is Erzum, which sees Venus and Mars in 8^ and Neptune near the MC, the other is Baku, which has a Stellium in VII (Venus, Mars and Pluto). I know both are not very good, but to have a good solar return I would have to travel a lot and spend a lot of money and, as my health is not very good and I have low finances, I would prefer reach an “acceptable” compromise by choosing one of these.
I thank you.
A hug

Hello Maria Stella.
If I were forced to choose between the two places you indicate, I would take Erzurum in Turkey. But I do Aimed Solar Returns for exactly the opposite reason: I do them so I can choose that piece of my destiny.
Happy Birthday.
Very interesting (I would say revolutionary) is the fact that the latter part of life is not linked to the 4th house! But then, which House is it in relation to the latter part of existence?
Thank you
M. Stella
It could be the 12th House, but that is unproven and I treat this argument as a temporary file.
And which house is linked to the first part of life? I think I missed these info even though I red a few of your books and watched your videos,
Moreover, do you have other open conjectures like that of 12t/LatterPart of life ?
I’m actually really curious about that.
Yes, Andrea S., in addition to many discoveries that I have already filed as reliable, there are various leads that I have been following for decades: you have a lot to study, if you want, in dozens and dozens of books.
Congratulation Ciro! I hope we can meet again soon like the last time at Spazio Pin 🙂
Thank You, Andrea S.
I’d like to find a suitable SR for my mom because I don’t want her to die or be too sad since she’s had a rough year. Her birthday is October 30, 1942, 2am in Shanghai China. I thought that traveling to Tbilisi, Georgia would be a good place for her. Do you agree or do you think she would be better served elsewhere?
I think death cannot be avoided and if your goal is to avoid a death, no destination is good.
Are you saying that death is predetermined at a certain time? Obviously everyone dies at some point, but I thought that an SR can postpone a death? Are you saying that SR’s cannot delay death to a later date?
No, I didn’t tell myself that and don’t make me say things I didn’t write. If you studied at least half of my major books, you would know the answer: we could delay the death of one of our family members if we all went on a good Aimed Solar Return, but since that will never happen, then we have to accept the will of our many relatives.
When you say that death cannot be avoided, are you saying that everyone’s death has a predetermined date that we are powerless to change? If I want to postpone my mom’s death by doing a good SR for her, are you saying that it is impossible to postpone it if the birth chart decided that she will die in a certain year?
Read the other answer I just posted to you.
I would like to add a question to the discussion on relatives’ rs. In my current rs I have uranus in 7th and jupiter and neptune in 5th. Also having quite positive transits for love (including pluto on the sun, I am a woman) I expected to be able to meet someone. However, I saw in my brother’s rs that he has Saturn in the 3rd house: in your opinion, Ciro, could this justify the fact that nothing is happening from a sentimental point of view, could it hold me back? With Jupiter in the 5th house of rs and trigons of the same to the planets in my 5th house I am only going out more and a few suitors have come forward (foreigners or with Sagittarius values, but nothing important …)
Hello, Margherita. We are not interested in partial balances because the ASR responds only when the hands of the clock have returned to zero… However, I remind you that we can all spend the values of the fifth House on it in many different ways. Once a man complained loudly because, according to him, the fifth House hadn’t worked, but he was forgetting that months earlier he had written to me to tell me that a great passion for the study of Roman Law had arisen in him and that was how he spent his nights …
Of course, maestro.
It is just in the last few days that I have had a small health problem, ‘a stomach ache’ as you say, of which I have only informed my brother … so, it could be this, I hope that with Jupiter between 5th and 6ths of rs it will get better in the course of the year 🙂
Yes, it could be this, but – I repeat – the balance sheets of an Aimed Solar Return are made after the end of the same and not before.
What about a good place for ensuring that her health doesn’t get worse?
May be. However, for an elderly person I always choose a place where his health can have an extra boost because the wear and tear of time, even without illness, causes damage in any case.
So would Tblibisi, Georgia be a good place for my mom? I tried to put either Jupiter or Venus in the 6th house, but those choices end up violating your other rules like 3 planets in the 8th house, etc.
What you say is not true: there are locations where it is possible to strengthen the defense of your mother’s well-being a hundred times and without violating the 34 rules. Study better.
Ciro, can you please share a location that would increase her health a hundred times? I’m at a loss for which locations would work, especially since her time may not be exactly 2am so I leave a buffer of a half hour on each end (ie. 1:30am-2:30am)
Whitney, as I have already explained, in this space I don’t do consultations, but I try to offer support to those who use MyAstral: if you wish, tell me a good choice of MyAstral for your mother’s birthday and I can tell you what I think of it .
MyAstral suggested that my mother go to Southern Cross, Australia as a first choice for her Solar Return assuming that her birth time is accurate at 2am. However, because the birth time came from my grandmother’s memory after 37 years (my mother was separated from her real mother most of her life), I’m not sure if that is the exact time. If I use 1:40am, then there are 3 planets in the 8th house which violates the rules. If you were in my shoes, would you still select Southern Cross which puts Venus in the 6th house, but might harm her if her time is before 2am or go with Tbilisi, Georgia given that Tbilisi does not violate any rules regardless if her birth time is 1:40am or 2:15am but doesn’t give her a boost in the 6th house?
Good morning, Whitney. I remind you that this space is for service and was intended to be useful to all users of MyAstral and therefore it is not a private dialogue window between two people. If you want, reformulate your question, entering all the data needed so that everyone can repeat the calculations with us: day, month, year, time of birth and place of birth and write your question again in the same post.
My mother’s supposed birthday is October 28, 1942 at 2am in Shanghai. I say supposed because it is based on my grandmother’s memory. Her exact birth time may be slightly earlier or later. My Astral software suggests that she go to Southern Cross, Western Australia for her upcoming solar return this year if I want her to maximize my health. I worry that if she was born at 1:40am, then there will be 3 planets in the 8th house. Also, even if she was born at 2am, the solar return has Neptune in the 12th house which could make her psychologically suffer and she is already easily frightened as a normal personality trait. Would you still recommend this location despite these concerns I bring up or will Tbilisi, Georgia be a safer bet since there are no planets in the 1st, 6th and 12th houses if she goes there? Thanks, and I look forward to your advice.
Whitney, in the past you wrote to me that your mother was born on October 30, 1942 at 2.15 am, now you write to me that she was born on October 28 at 2 am, but she could also have been born at 1.40 am: if your mother’s birth data changes in continuation, then the MyAstral search engine cannot be useful to us and it is better to use the dice to decide where to direct her for her birthday.
Furthermore, you want to add other limitations to our research by stating that Neptune in the 12th House is not good: in this way we are really outside the boundaries of Active Astrology. So, if you decide on the day and time of your mother’s birth, the locations that could be suitable are: Corabie, South Australia, or Daugavpils, Latvia. Happy Birthday.
Sorry I meant to say “maximize HER health, not mine.”
Good morning Ciro, how are you?
A question: would you recommend a solar return with an AS in X to a person who’s looking for a new job because of serious financial troubles? These next months Saturn will be square to the Mooon, to the Sun and to the Ascendent and though I’m not a politician nor a manager, I certainly need success and strong and positive energies. Last but not least I’d like to develope new ideas to earn money in a short time, a second way to say that I need success. As you already understand I fear the rule n.14.
Thanks a lot for your kind answer. Rose
Rose, in order for this space to be of public utility and not only for the benefit of those who ask a question, try to modify your question by entering all the data we need: place, day, month, year and time of birth and place where you would like to go for your targeted Solar Return. You also explain what work you do and what professional/economic risks you could face.
Pardon… I was born in Lamezia Terme on 06.09.1962 at 13.10. I’m thinking of Teheran for my next birthday.
I don’t work now, I’d like to begin with an e-commerce or other sort of business on line
OK, Rose: you can proceed with Tehran. Happy Birthday.
Sorry Ciro, I have to explain something about an activity of mine. I don’t work but I live trough a little real estate activity: I rent some flats, pay taxes, I’m involved in administration and renovation. It’s not a 9to5 job but an activity anyway.
So would you tell me to go to Teheran and put an AS in the IV field? I surely would have the possibility to exorcise the symbol: much much money spent for a real estate puchase in Milan, helping my mother, paying attention to my diglital data. I would do everything but I fear Saturn because it always gives an “opprtunity” to suffer with bad extra surprises.
So, if your answer will be negative, would you please give me your opinion about two other destinations?
1. Santo Domingo
2. Narym (Russian Federation)
Thank you very much indeed, I should have to make a decision.
Errata corridge; put Saturn in the IV field in Teheran (not the AS)
Yes, Rose, I confirm that Tehran is fine. Of course this doesn’t mean that we de-point Saturn: we can’t de-point Saturn or even Mars or Uranus or… But, other than that, Tehran is fine.
Ok Ciro.
Just one last question: next autumn I’d like to have a little aesthetic renovation, that’s to say putting very thin custom- made pieces of porcelain to the front teeth for a more beautiful smile. Do you think that the RSM for Teheran could help more than the one in Santo Domingo? I know that an AS in X (in Teheran) could be an upgrade through beauty too but the problem is my Saturn in the second Field in the natal chart: this position suggests that aesthetics renovation is dangerous for me and I actually should pay attention. I ask myself if the RSM for Santo Domingo, being more specific for aesthetics and beauty, could be a better protection from bad aesthetic results. Thank you once more for your patience, Ciro.
Good morning, Rose. Within the much more restrictive limits that your new question imposes, then Santo Domingo is a better choice, since dental work has become your main focus in the meantime. However I would like to remind you of two things. The first is that a Saturn in the eighth House is no cakewalk and I’m pretty sure you’ll complain a lot about it afterwards.
Secondly, I advise you to study or study again my book “The Fundaments of Medical Astrology” where I explained that we cannot start a surgical operation since then the surgeon will never respect the starting point of a surgical operation and, then, in these cases, it will also be important to do a good Aimed Lunar Return in the month of dental surgery.
Best wishes.
Ok, that helps me to see clearly. I think that an AS in X is “qualcosa che non si può rifiutare”, especially for a person with a natal Sun in the IX Field like me. At the same time I’d like to have a better aspect and a specific ASR for aesthetics is not available every year, yet being aware of added financial problems. Ok then, I beg your pardon for this long chat, Ciro and I hug you, I wish you the best for your next ASR too…🌹
Ciro, I have a question. When we place a jupiter attached to the rs ascendant (with positive rs), is it to be considered dominant in the annual chart, just like in a birth chart, in addition to the positive effects given by its position? Thank you!
Margherita, I think so and I say “I think” because you tell me about a situation that I can imagine, but that I don’t see.
Sorry, Ciro, I did not understand your answer. I wanted to know if a star (Jupiter in this case) is glued to the asc of rs, is this to be considered dominant in the annual horoscope, as happens when in a birth chart we have a planet in the asc.
Margherita, I answered you. The rules for finding the dominant of a sky are not limited to checking whether or not a star is close to the Ascendant. In my book “New Guide To Astrology” there is an entire chapter devoted to the rules for finding a dominant in a sky, by birth or SR or LR.
Sorry Ciro, now I understand better the ‘I don’t see’ in the first answer. Any houses with stellium must also be identified for dominance, do I understand?
I try, if you don’t mind, to formulate a more precise question: in the case of neutral rs (without 1st, 6th, 8th, 12th values and stelliums), can a jupiter at the ascendant be considered dominant ? and can this be equivalent, for example, to a jupiter at the mc ? You say that jupiter on the ascendant often indicates great personal satisfaction, as well as good protection (but one must also be careful with buggerings). Now, I wonder what, in general, is more acceptable: 10th house values, but with only one planet in the 12th house or a neutral rs with a jupiter at the asc which should give as dominant a positive colour to the solar year? (I sincerely lean towards the second option, but you know more than me of course) thanks!
Margherita, the rules for finding the dominant in a sky were established between the XVI and the XVII centuries by Morin de Villefrance, then better codified by André Barbault in the XX century and then further codified by the writer, following the studies of the Gauquelin spouses. These rules do not provide for “summaries”: they are rules and that’s it.
Then you change the subject and ask if a dominant Jupiter is better than AS or MC: the question is not posed correctly because they are two completely different realities and it would be like asking if green or blue is better…
Remember: every sky is different from another sky and one cannot make abstractions.
